I worked in an office when I was young	
it was pretty good money but it wasn't much fun	
there were guys working there thirty forty years	
what I called cubicles they called careers	
There was one old guy sat way in the back
must've had some kind of fatal attack
had to call the janitor to clean up the mess
poor old guy was Dead at his Desk

they found him in the morning Dead at his Desk

He came in every day and punched the clock
with a bow tie and clean white socks
now it doesn't matter how he dressed
they found him in the morning Dead at his Desk

poor old guy was Dead at his Desk

His computer was on he was all logged in
his pencil was sharpened he was ready to begin
something must have happened and he came up short
and I had to write his final report

the son of a bitch was Dead at his Desk

So if you've got a fever if you have a bad cough
do yourself a favor and take the day off
drink a lot of water and get a lot of rest
don't let them find you Dead at your Desk

finish all your projects and try to do your best
but don't end up with a cardiac arrest
